About the DX Platform Project

The State of Iowa has been building, with the help of an external vendor, a standardized enterprise platform to support agencies in their communication with constituents.

With a focus on accessibility, plain language, communication, a standard design system, and standard content types, the state is moving toward a unified look-and-feel, authoring experience, and constituent experience. 

Getting Involved

Most State agencies have been assigned a cohort in the queue of rollouts onto the platform.

Your Public Information Officer is informed regularly about the next steps for their cohort.

The initiative’s DOM DoIT team has shared approximate website launch dates with all initial cohorts. If you have questions or need more information, reach out.

Core Strategy Statement

Core strategy statements help teams singularize and solidify the strategic direction of their web experience. The statement does three distinct things: 

• Identifies the core audiences
• Identifies the type of content that should exist
• Identifies the goals and actions that content should drive 

The content we produce helps our agency reach Iowans — constituents, customers, residents, and more — by providing clear, helpful content that helps people access the services and information they need when they need it. Our content should help audiences feel confident, informed, and prepared to take the next step or complete their task with our agency.
