How to Use the Outdated Content Page

  1. Navigate to the Outdated Content Page
Go to /admin/content/outdated. You’ll find a list of content items that haven’t been updated in two years or more. This list includes essential details such as the title, content type (basic page, FAQ, news, etc.), status (published or unpublished), and last updated date.
  2. Review Content for Accuracy
For each item on the list, consider the following:
    • Is the information still accurate? Does it reflect current standards, statistics, or guidelines?
    • Is the content relevant to your audience today? Older topics may no longer align with user needs or organizational focus.  Is the page a press release or board agenda more than a year old?
    • Could it benefit from a refresh? Updating language, images, or links can boost engagement. Ensure the content is written at an 8th-grade reading level for clarity.
  3. Update as Needed
To update an item, click its title, make the necessary changes, and save. This removes the content from the Outdated Content Page.
  4. Marking Content for Archival or Deletion
For content that’s no longer necessary, consider archiving or deleting it. Coordinate with your team to ensure it’s safe to remove.
