Purpose
The accessibility score shows how easy a website is for everyone to use, especially people with disabilities. Acquia Optimize helps agency managers find and fix accessibility problems that hurt their score. These issues include broken links, missing alt text, and unclear link text. Fixing these issues helps meet accessibility standards. It also improves the user experience for everyone.
When to Use Acquia Optimize to Review and Improve your Website’s Accessibility Score
- During weekly routine accessibility audits to ensure all pages remain compliant.
- After making updates to the website that may impact accessibility, like adding new images or changing navigation.
- When specific issues are flagged like broken links or images missing alt text, which impact the accessibility score.
- Regularly check the whole site. This helps spot issues that may impact usability for users of assistive tech.
How to Locate your Site Accessibility Score
You can easily see your sites accessibility score within the "Accessibility" section of your Acquia Optimize Dashboard page. This is also where you can locate the current failing checks that need to be reviewed and fixed to help improve your score.
The target goal for our site accessibility is 84% and to help you improve your site score faster is by using the Fast Track feature to go through and review the failed checks that are having the biggest negative impact on your score.

How to improve your Accessibility Score using Fast Track
To do this you will go to the fast track within the "Accessibility" page and when you select it a pop up window will appear with a list of current checks that have the biggest impact that need to be reviewed

Next you will select the Pages number button to start reviewing each page to see if any fixes for this check can be done.

A new pop up window will appear with the list of all of the pages with the failing check and selecting the magnifying glass icon on the right will help pull up the page on your site and the specific spot where the failing check is for you to review.

If there are no fixes that can be identified or the fix is not possible then within the "Action" button on the fast track page you can mark it as "Review"
