When sending bulletins, you may want to have a URL so you can add a link on your website. Be sure the Message Visibility setting is Public

This setting can be found on the Audience page of the bulletin editor. That’s where you select which topic(s) to send to.

To update any old govDelivery bulletins follow these steps:

  1. Go to Bulletins in govDelivery. Find your bulletin and select the Sharing tab.
  2. Click the Publish option to the right of the bulletin's name.
  3. Click on the bulletin's name (it will take you to a page that includes the web version's URL as well as a shortened URL).

If a bulletin was not originally sent with the Public box checked, you can you check that box and share a link to the bulletin afterwards.

You can also unpublish bulletins in the same way:

  • Navigate to the Bulletins tab in govDelivery.
  • Click the Sharing tab on the top row.
  • Find the bulletin in question.
    • If it is not published, it will show a Publish link. If it is published, it will show an Unpublish link.
    • Either publishing or unpublishing will only affect the sharing page - it will not send any additional emails to the initial recipients.

If you want readers to be able to share your bulletins through social media, you can add a Share_This macro.

Follow the instructions in this Bulletin Sharing and Viewing Options article.

Agencies should not be creating PDFs of govDelivery Bulletins and saving them to their website. Use the govDelivery link and link to the original source.
