Highlight Story

We want to showcase real success stories from our colleagues to highlight what’s possible and celebrate their achievements.

Today, we recognize Katie Green and the IWD team for their outstanding work. Recently, IWD transitioned from Checkbox to Qualtrics, retiring the legacy platform and achieving $6,400 in annual cost savings. The implementation was fully agency-led and completed in just two months, improving efficiency and collaboration across the team.

Agency: IWD
Creator: Katie Green
Forms:
WIOA Business Satisfaction Survey
WIOA Customer Satisfaction Survey
Dislocated Worker Survey
2026 Iowa Industry & Occupational Projections Business Survey

Details: In just two months, from December to February, the team moved from Checkbox to Qualtrics. This transition improved efficiency and collaboration while removing the need for Checkbox. The change resulted in $6,400 in annual cost savings.

To ensure a seamless process, all historical surveys from Checkbox were archived for future reference, and only active surveys were migrated to Qualtrics. During this period, Katie provided training to her team on creating new forms in Qualtrics, enabling them to fully leverage the platform’s capabilities.

Great Job Katie and IWD.

2-Minute Tips

Adding Instructions

Adding instructions is a best practice, especially for detailed forms or surveys. Clear instructions help respondents understand what’s expected, which improves accuracy, increases completion rates, reduces confusion and errors, and sets clear expectations.

When writing instructions, consider including:

  • Purpose of the form or survey – Explain why you’re collecting the information.
  • Estimated time to complete – Helps respondents plan.
  • Materials needed – List anything they should have ready before starting.
  • Next steps after submission – Tell them what will happen once they complete the form or survey.

Technical tip: Watch the video in the Qualtrics XM Community 2-Minute Tips Playlist to learn how to add instructions to your survey for different question types.
