The exciting new video promo options are rolling out.  Agencies are to switch any existing  promos that may have video, to the new micro-content type called "Video promo". This new update helps present video promo and image promo even more effectively.

Why the Change?

Our previous promo format allowed for both video and image inclusion, but this update brings dedicated options:

  • Image-Only Promos: Designed to optimize the presentation of static images.
  • Video-Only Promos: Tailored to deliver the best possible video viewing experience.

All of the previous promo types that have video’s attached will turn into Image-only.

Note: Video promo's can only be used for landing pages and cannot embed into other content types

Preparing for the Transition:

By 5:00 pm on June 13th agencies need to:

  • Review Existing Promos: Identify any promos currently containing videos To do this Navigate to your Micro-Content Library and filter microcontent for “Promo”

  • Migrating Old Video Promo’s: Once you’ve identified the old video promo’s you can copy the information from that old video promo and then select the blue “Add micro-content” button and then select new “Video Promo” micro-content and paste your video promo information into it.
     
  • Utilize Image Promos: Utilize the Promo micro-content for image-only promo option for promos solely focused on images.

Help Prevent Broken Videos:

A current promo that is a video(and has not been recreated)  will automatically be converted to be an image after 5:00 pm on June 13th and will most likely not render correctly.  To ease the transition, we encourage authors who explicitly want video promo’s to use the new “Video Promo” micro-content and recreate all of the old video promo micro-content.
