What's Changed for Authors

  • Update on RSS Feeds for Listing Pages:
We're excited to announce an update to our RSS feeds on listing pages! In addition to the existing feeds for all listings, you can now subscribe to RSS feeds for specific topics within the "Topics" vocabulary. This means you can stay up-to-date on new listings related to a particular topic of interest, such as "Assistance Programs." For example, if you're interested in finding new assistance programs, you can subscribe to the "Assistance Programs" topic feed and receive notifications whenever a new program is added to a listing page.

  • Improved Alert Microcontent linking feature:
We've addressed an issue that previously prevented users from easily linking Alerts to specific content within the website using the Linkit tool. This functionality is particularly helpful for creating Alerts that point to relevant resources like "Iowa Medicaid" information pages. Previously, these pages wouldn't appear in the Linkit search results when creating an Alert. With this fix, the Linkit tool now effectively searches and autopopulates results for all major content types, including Basic Pages, Landing Pages, and News articles. This enhancement streamlines the process of linking Alerts to relevant content, ensuring users can effectively direct viewers to important information.

  • New Date Filter for Listing Pages:
We're improving the searchability of our listing pages for Documents, News, and Basic Pages by introducing a new "Year" filter! This feature, requested by several agencies, allows you to easily refine your search results based on the content's "Display Date."

Simply select the desired year from the filter dropdown (located on the far right) to see listings published in that specific year. The filter options are ordered from most recent to oldest, making it easy to find what you need. You can now activate this filter when creating listing pages, providing users with a more granular search experience.
