Event Details
MSF&W provided MS Word and Accessibility Overview training in September and October 2022.
This two hour recording of the training includes a high-level overview of accessibility and a demonstration of the JAWS screen reader.
Training contrasts a userβs experience with an inaccessible document against the experience of an accessible document. Specific to document accessibility, you learn concepts and terms to know when you're creating accessible Word and PDF documents. This overview will provide a common background and foundation of accessibility knowledge to build on as we progress through the more specific Word and PDF accessibility topics and techniques.
The second hour of the session teaches attendees to properly use Word to ensure the most accessible PDF documents possible. Training includes a demonstration of tips and best practices for creating and preparing documents for conversion to PDF, including discussion of Styles, Headings, Lists, Columns, Images, Tables, and the Word Accessibility Checker.
