What's Changed for Authors
Site Launch: The Department of Management launched dom.iowa.gov on the DX Platform.
Automatic Lists: The automatic list feature has been enhanced so that on a basic page, an automatic list with no results is hidden from view for anonymous users. However, logged-in users will still be able to view the automatic list.
Promos: The option to place a Promo within the body text as microcontent has always been available. Now, there is the capability to specify that this promo appears as a "single link."
Display date: An author editing their Basic Page now has the ability to specify an "Updated Display Date" of their choosing. This date is independent of both the creation date and the last updated date.
Behind the scenes: Numerous updates this week focused on improving the DX platform behind the scenes, aiming to create a more user-friendly and navigable experience. Some of these updates include:
- Media Library & Documents: The option to include Documents in the dialog that appears when clicking the "Insert Media" button and embed them into the editor has been enabled. Subsequent follow-ups will address how to display these embedded Documents on the front end.
- Non-menu pages: A script was developed to identify major content types that are not included in a menu.
