Listing Pages Now Show Most Recent Content First
In September, the default behavior for Listing Pages, Automatic Lists, and the /admin/content and /admin/content/micro pages was mistakenly set to "chronological ascending," displaying older content at the top. Since we need the most recent content to appear first, this has been corrected to show "chronological descending" as the default.
Add Drafted Content to Promos and Link Collections
You can now include drafted content in Promos and Link Collections! This feature allows you to prepare and organize content in advance, ensuring a smoother publishing process when you're ready to go live.
Embed Images, Flickr Galleries, or Videos in Accordion Sections
Content managers can now embed an image, Flickr gallery, or plain video directly within an Accordion component. This new functionality allows for richer, more dynamic content presentation, making it easier to organize and display media within the collapsible sections.
Content Managers' Meeting
In the October Content Managers' Meeting, we covered key topics to enhance your content strategy:
- How to Work with Callout: We reviewed the purpose of the Callout feature, when it's best used, and the elements that make it effective. A demonstration was provided to show how to implement Callouts in your content, helping to highlight key points concisely.
- Improving Accessibility with Alt Text: A walkthrough on how to use the Alt Text edit feature to enhance accessibility scores. We also discussed best practices for writing alternate text that improves user experience on the DX Platform.
- Monsido QA Policies: We demonstrated how to run a report in Monsido for a specific text or phrase within your site. This feature helps ensure content quality and consistency across your pages.
- Top Hat Update: For websites and applications outside the DX Platform, updating the Top Hat is necessary. A detailed guide is now available, outlining how to manually apply the latest Top Hat updates.
- Accessibility Project Update: Todd Peterson, Project Manager, provided an update on the ongoing Accessibility Project, highlighting progress and upcoming changes aimed at improving site accessibility.
